The first Food and Wine shop of the Chianti Fiorentino area

It was born from an unexpected meeting between a glass of French wine, created by Marcello Crini, and a Tuscan dish, created by Alessio Sedran. A shared passion that has turned into a dream: to open a food and wine shop in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, a place where the verbs to eat and to drink are combined with the adverb good, where you can find the culinary traditions of the area and start a food and wine experience to discover the taste.

Wine, oil, and gastronomy are the absolute protagonists of Magazzino del Gusto: from the dishes of the deli counter to a wide selection of cold cuts and cheeses from micro-producers and Tuscan cheesemakers, from the tastings of the best Italian and French wines to more than 40 extra virgin olive oils classified EQOO, from delivery to the direct sale of products, suitable for all budgets and all dietary requirements, even gluten-free and lactose-free.

All the dishes and products tasted in the shop can be bought, to continue the food and wine experience at home. It’s our mission, our ‘mission of Gusto’!

Wine Shop

Wine for us is music for the taste buds, an enjoyable flavor that is worth sipping, a pleasing moment to share.

It will be Music that will guide you to discover our fine wines’ cellar, both Italian and French, and we in our behalf will narrate the story of the bottles we have selected with passion.

How? At the table, while looking through the reflections of a large glass of wine, or even recommending the best one for a special occasion or a tasting at home.

Because our bottles can be tasted, purchased in our wine shop and also online.

The Gastronomia

At our gastronomy counter, you can embark on a true sensory journey, engaging sight, smell, and all five senses.

Through our dishes, we want to rediscover and share the authentic flavors of our region. Our culinary creations follow the rhythm of the seasons, featuring handpicked ingredients from our shop and fresh vegetables from our bioactive garden.

While Tuscan delights take the spotlight, our selection caters to every palate: venture into the left cell with your shopping basket to explore our array of premium cold cuts and cheeses, including the exquisite Griglio del Casentino and Cinta Senese hams and salamis, the delectable Prosciutto Cotto Capitelli and mortadella Favola, Tuscan Pecorino crafted with vegetable rennet, and the 24-month-aged Parmigiano Reggiano high-altitude pasture, so rich it almost melts like butter. Taste it to believe it!

The Bistro area

Did you know our Magazzino extends beyond the counter? You can also sit at the table! Yes, there is a dedicated area where you can eat delicious dishes and drink wine throughout the day: the bistrot area!

Step into our convivial space, with a small number of tables, offering the perfect setting to savor gastronomic delights from our counter and indulge in the wines from our cellar – all day long. We break free from conventional restaurant hours to meet your cravings and hunger whenever they strike. Your satisfaction knows no schedule here.

The Bioactive garden

A vegetable garden with a soul, here’s how we can describe in a few words the bioactive garden we created in San Casciano, in collaboration with Andrea Battiata, the visionary Florentine agronomist and method creator.

A self-regenerating vegetable garden, just like a miniature forest. Each day we harvest a bounty of fresh vegetables that we use in the dishes of the gastronomy counter.
